Charlton Police Thankful For ‘Survival Kit’ Gift

On Monday night Charlton Police, known for their witty Facebook posts, took to social media to thank a local teenager and her mother.

“Emily and her mom, Karyn, flagged down one of our cruisers today to present the Officer’s in our department with our own Police Officer Survival Kit,” the post read.

The duo presented Officers Justina LaPierre and Brian “Hollywood” Cardrant with several kits, each containing items like a candle, “to lighten up our day when things get tough,” a Peppermint Patty “to help us keep our cool” and even a tissue, “to wipe away the tears of joy & sorrow.”

In the thank you message, the department spokesperson said, “We count ourselves truly blessed to be working in a community that appreciates the diverse and demanding work we face every day throughout our career.”
