The Dudley Police Department has announced they will once again be taking part in an upcoming Massachusetts Special Olympics Cruiser Convoy.

This year marks the 14th year the Dudley Police are participating in this event.  According to a post on the department’s Facebook page, “The Cruiser Convoy is one of the most anticipated Law Enforcement Torch Run events of the year.”  In 2019, police departments in Massachusetts helped raise over $735,000 to benefit the Special Olympics.

After taking a year off due to COVID-19, Special Olympians are back on the field competing with their teammates.  Special Olympics Massachusetts provides sports opportunities to over 14,000 athletes of all ages, as well as health and wellness activities, and programming in schools to promote inclusive communities.  You can make a donation in support of the Dudley Police Department by clicking here for their fundraiser page.

The Cruiser Convoy begins at 9 AM on Saturday, June 12th at Marlborough High School, 431 Bolton Street, Marlborough, MA.
