Grand Re-Opening Of McDonald’s In Uxbridge
You are invited to the grand re-opening of the McDonald’s Restaurant, located at 200 Quaker Highway (off Route 146) in Uxbridge. The celebration begins with ribbon-cutting on Wednesday, May 15th at 10 AM.
In addition to a new look outside, the restaurant is putting more choice and control in the hands of customers, giving them the opportunity to use new self-order kiosks and even have your meal delivered right to your table. Customers will be able to pay at the self-order kiosks, order and pay with the McDonald’s app, or order at the traditional counter if they prefer. New technology like Apple and Android Pay are also being used at this location.
Joseph Spadea and his wife Patricia purchased their first McDonald’s in Spencer in 1981 and over the last 38 years, their company has grown to 17 stores, including stores in Webster, Sturbridge, and Uxbridge. They run Sellia Group with the help of their children Vincent Spadea, Barbara Balducci and their son-in-law David Balducci.
The first 100 lunch customers on May 15th will receive a coupon for a free Big Mac, and everyone in attendance will be eligible to register to win other great prizes that will be given away when the month-long grand re-opening celebration ends on Saturday, June 1st. Some of those items include an autographed Rob Gronkowski jersey, a 49-inch television, a mountain bike, and 2 tickets to see Boston’s baseball team play.
The morning will begin with a flag raising by members of the VFW Post 1385 and the National Anthem being performed by the Uxbridge High School Spartones. A $1,000 donation to the People First Food Pantry will be presented to help feed those who need it in the area. Other town officials helping cut the ribbon include Police Chief Marc Montimony and State Representative Mike Soter.
THE LAKE 940 will also be at the celebration with live updates on the radio. We hope to see everyone at the Grand Re-opening celebration, Wednesday, May 15th at 10 AM with THE LAKE 940.
