Impaired Driving To Blame For Head-On Charlton Crash
First responders from Charlton Police and Fire Departments responded to a serious crash involving two vehicles on Route 169 in Charlton on Monday afternoon.
Police say multiple 911 calls were received just before 3PM. The two cars, that were traveling in opposite directions, had collided in the southbound lane with enough force to rip wheels off of the cars.
Several passengers in the white SUV were brought to UMass Medical Center with various injuries.
Police say the driver of the black car, identified as Nevin Montigny, was arrested on scene and will be arraigned in the Dudley District Court for operating under the influence, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and several other charges.
