Man Arrested After Burnouts On Newly Paved Road In Douglas

At approximately 1AM on Sunday, September 23rd, Douglas Police were dispatched to the area of Wallum Lake Road to investigate a report of a blue sedan doing burnouts on a recently paved section of that road.  While en-route to the area, officers located a blue sedan that was now stuck off the shoulder of Southwest Main Street nearby.

Officers were able to conclude that this was the same vehicle doing the burnouts.  Sean Peterson of Grafton was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, disturbing the peace, and resisting arrest.

Douglas Police would like to remind residents to report any illegal activity they observe, especially erratic operation of motor vehicles, “so these operators can be removed from our roadways before someone gets injured.”
