Lightning Strike Sparks 3 Alarm Fire In Webster Home

During the late afternoon of Thursday, September 6th, a fire was sparked as a line of heavy thunderstorms moved through the area. Firefighters from Webster and several surrounding towns battled a stubborn blaze on Day Lane in Webster, that quickly escalated to a three alarms.
According to reports heard on the scanner, bricks from the chimney collapsed down on to the home. One firefighter was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
