Overturned Car Catches Fire Feet Away From Charlton Home

Charlton Police and Fire Departments responded to an overturned motor vehicle on Route 169 in front of 230 Southbridge Road for a crash and fire with occupants trapped inside.
ONe person was able to escape the vehicle before crews arrived. The fire was extinguished quickly and vehicle was stabilized.
The Fire Department says the fire could have been much worse, since it is so hot outside the fire could have easily spread to the home just feet away. The driver of the vehicle was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
