Gina Giovangelo, the pregnant woman from Webster who was wanted by police on Cape Cod, has been taken into custody by police on Saturday.

Yarmouth Police say the Webster Police Department was investigating a report of a suspicious female going through a purse in town.  Police interacted with the woman and determined her to be Giovangelo, even though she gave officers a fake name.

The Webster Police Officer recognized her as the wanted suspect from Cape Cod and placed her under arrest.  Giovangelo is being held without bail.

On October 29th, a judge in Barnstable issued a no-bail warrant for her after she allegedly tested positive for heroin and left an inpatient drug treatment program for expectant mothers.

Prior to that, Giovangelo had been in jail since August on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

She pleaded guilty in to vehicular homicide by negligent operation in 2011 where it was reported she was operating under the influence and left the scene of an accident resulting in death.
