Southbridge Police Assist In Arrest Of Wanted Fitchburg Shooter

Southbridge Police have announced the arrest of 33-year-old Concepcion Rodriguez of Worcester.
Detectives along with members of the United States Marshall’s office and Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section made the arrest at around 10:30 AM on Wednesday morning at hiding in the basement of a home located at 115 High Street in Southbridge.
The suspect was taken in for outstanding warrants.
Rodriguez was wanted for discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, assault and battery with a firearm, assault to commit a felony, carrying a firearm without a license, assault, and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and disturbing the peace.
He was also charged with disorderly conduct, 3 counts of vandalizing property and numerous motor vehicle violations.
Rodriguez was transported to Fitchburg District Court where he was arraigned on charges related to a shooting that occurred in Fitchburg in June.
