Stolen Gun Recovered By Police In Southbridge Drug Bust

At 4:30 on Saturday morning, Detectives from the Southbridge Police Department and the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council SWAT Team executed a search warrant for narcotics at the first floor apartment of 153 Marcy Street.

The search warrant was the result of a lengthy ongoing investigation by police into the distribution of crack cocaine in the Southbridge area.  Crack cocaine packaged for distribution, prescription pills suspected to be oxycodone, and other various narcotics distribution paraphernalia was recovered, as well as cash.  The money is suspected to have been proceeds from the ongoing trafficking and sale of narcotics.

A fully loaded .38 caliber snub nose revolver was also recovered at the scene, that had previously been reported stolen during a house break in December of 2017, and a 9mm magazine containing several rounds of live ammunition.

Four people were arrested, including: 27 year old Robert Andrews of Southbridge, charged with possession of a firearm without a license to carry, possession of ammunition without a license, possession with intent to distribute class B crack cocaine, possession of class B Oxycodone and with receiving stolen property under $1,200.

27 year old Tyvon Williams of Southbridge was charged with possession of ammunition without a license and with possession with intent to distribute class B crack cocaine.  He was also held on an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

22 year old Dontereus Sanders of Southbridge was charged with possession of ammunition without a license and with possession with intent to distribute class B crack cocaine, and 27 year old Eric Parrish of Boston was charged with possession of ammunition without a license and with possession with intent to distribute class B crack cocaine.

All four were held at Southbridge Police Headquarters pending their release on bail and/or their arraignment in Dudley District Court on Monday, July 16th.
