Thompson Man Arrested Going 109 MPH on Route 193

Connecticut State Police have arrested a Thompson man on several charges, including violating a protective order.
At 1:30AM on Tuesday morning, troopers clocked 20 year old Martin Taylor traveling at 109 miles per hour on Route 193 in Thompson. The posted speed limit is only 30 miles per hour. The driver was successfully pulled over on nearby Route 200 and taken into custody after failing a field sobriety test.
Taylor is charged with speeding, stop sign violation, operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol, improper use of high beams and other charges. He is scheduled to appear in Danielson Superior Court on March 20th
