First responders from Oxford Police and Oxford Fire/EMS were dispatched to Main Street (Route 12) at around 8:45PM on Friday, September 14th.  Several 911 calls were received about a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Main and Turner Road.

Police say a 2017 Ford F-150 pickup truck was travelling south on Main Street towing a large message board hitched to the back of it.  The message board became unhooked from the truck while in motion and entered the northbound lane hitting a 2008 Audi.  The driver of the car was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Investigators believe the message board was improperly secured and the required safety chains were not used.  The owner of the truck, Richard Pacella of Pacella Enterprises in Foxborough was  issued a civil citation on scene for failing to secure safety chains.

Please keep in mind sections of Main Street will continue to be closed this weekend for previously announced road work.
