Uxbridge Man Killed In Wrong-Way Route 395 Crash

Connecticut State Police say a driver traveling in the wrong direction on Route 395 was killed in a head-on collision on early Friday morning, March 8th.

The 54 year old man from Uxbridge was identified as Stephen Wild.  According to police, he was driving south in the northbound lanes of Route 395  when his vehicle crashed into a car traveling in the proper direction around 1AM.  The crash happened near Exit 32 (formerly exit 89).

The driver and passenger of the second vehicle suffered minor injuries and were treated at a local hospital.  The highway was closed for almost 6 hours overnight, reopening around 7AM.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
