Webster Fire Closes Route 12 Near K-Mart

Route 12 in Webster was closed for a short time on Tuesday evening near K-Mart while the Webster Fire Department was on the scene of a fire at a small home located at 85 Worcester Road. Mutual aid was called in from Dudley.
According to records, the mobile style home is 2 bedrooms and 672 square feet. The Lake 940 has learned at a 90 year old woman lives in the home and was able to get out safely.
On social media, a neice of the resident thanked the firefighters and person who called the fire in, saying that her aunt “had no idea what was going on.” Firefighters reportedly found her sitting on the couch while the flames were burning from an outside outlet.
There were no injuries reported, and the home does not appear to be a total loss.
