Theresa Beaudette, Lydia Davis – Webster Police

Webster Police tell THE LAKE 940 that on Tuesday, March 27th at 7:30 PM, officers were called to 8 Boyden Street for a child custody dispute.  Upon their arrival it was determined the father of the child, Todd Davis, had custody and that there was an issue with his daughter staying with her mother, Theresa Beaudette.  The father eventually agreed to let the child, 10 year old Lydia Davis, stay with her mother and aunt, and he was scheduled to pick up the child from school the following day.

Lydia never made it to school on Wednesday or Thursday, and the mother could not be reached.  Police were unable to contact her, and it was later learned that Theresa, as well as Theresa’s mother, and grandmother left and their whereabouts were unknown. A “be on the lookout” was issued to check the well-being of the child to all police agencies across Massachusetts, with particular attention to the towns on Route 16.

On March 29th, Webster Police received a phone call from the director of a homeless shelter in Milford, expressing concern for the child’s safety. Webster Police then consulted the Massachusetts State Police as to whether or not an Amber Alert should be issued, while still checking several leads.

Theresa Beaudette walked into the Northbridge Police Department with her daughter, where she will be interviewed by Webster Detectives.

The Department of Children and Families has been contacted, and the investigation is continuing. Criminal charges may be pending.
