Worcester Man Arrested On Drug & Gun Charges
On Friday, February 9th at 8:15 PM, Massachusetts State Police arrested a man in the City of Worcester on gun and drug charges.
Trooper Evan Brent was on patrol when he observed a 2003 Infinity i35 traveling on Southbridge Street commit motor vehicle violations. The vehicle was stopped and the trooper determined the operator, a 25 year old Worcester man, was driving on a suspended license.
The driver was placed under arrest and, during a motor vehicle inventory, troopers located a .40 caliber Glock with a high capacity magazine and a quantity of substances believed to be concentrated THC and marijuana.
The driver was booked on the charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition without an FID card, possession of a class C substance, operation a motor vehicle with a suspended license, marked lanes violation and driving without headlights.
He was held on $4,500.00 bail pending his arraignment in Worcester District Court on Monday. Police have not released his name.
