Dudley Police Locate Assault Suspect In Webster

Just after midnight on Thursday, October 25th, Dudley Police were called to a domestic assault in progress at a residence on Brandon Road.  Police say a male is believed to have violated a restraining order and assaulted a female party.  The woman was physically assaulted and threatened with a knife.

She was treated for a laceration to her hand at the scene.  The injuries are not believed to be serious.

Police say the man fled the scene and was located around 4AM in Webster.  He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.  He is scheduled to appear in Dudley District Court later today.

The names of the victim or the suspect have not been released.

In a press release, Chief Steven Wojnar said, “The responding Dudley Police officers performed well during this incident.  They were assisted by members of the Webster Police Department and personnel from the South Worcester County Regional Dispatch Center to bring this volatile situation to a peaceful conclusion.”
