Rena & Tom Klebart with Tamara Beland

As Summer rolls on, crews are still hard at work to open Webster’s new public library.  Rena and Tom Klebart stopped by to discuss all of the exciting changes coming to town when the Gladys E. Kelly Library opens on September 4th.  It is going to be more than just a building with books.  Look for new technology, meeting rooms, study rooms and an expanded children’s room and young adult section as well.

Rena was elected by the town to serve on the Board of Trustees of the library, and Tom is the President of Friends of the Chester C. Corbin Library.  He helps to organize programs and fundraisers for library, while the board establishes policies and oversees the library director.

The temporary library located at the Webster Town Hall will be closing on August 17th.  It will remain closed for 2 weeks while things are moved and set up at the new location at 2 Lake Street.

Stay tuned to THE LAKE 940 and Lake940.com for more information when the grand opening and ribbon cutting celebration will be announced shortly.
