Webster Man Poops Himself During Drug Arrest In Southbridge

On Friday March 23rd at 4:20PM, Southbridge Police pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation on Main Street.  The passenger of the vehicle was acting suspicious and reaching down into the vehicle with both hands.

The passenger, identified as 33 year old Luis Melendez Rubero of 5 Whitcomb Street in Webster, quickly jumped out of the car and tried to flee the scene.  A struggle took place between responding officers and Rubero.

Before being placed in handcuffs, Rubero attempted to throw several white bags into a nearby storm drain.  Officers recovered two bundles (20 individual bags) of suspected heroin as well as 10 loose baggies of suspected heroin that were all packaged for distribution.

During the struggle Rubero defecated himself and he was transported to police headquarters to be booked.  Luis Melendez Rubero was charged with assault and battery on a police officer, possession with intent to distribute class A heroin, disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct.

The operator of the vehicle, who’s name has not been released, will appear in Dudley District Court at a later date for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
