Webster Town Administrator Doug Willardson has announced he is leaving his position, “with a heavy heart” as he looks forward to starting a new job in North Carolina.

In a post on Facebook, Willardson, who arrived in Webster in 2016, says his last day working for the town will be September 3rd.

In thanking residents for a great 5 years, part of his post read, “Working for the Town of Webster has been very fulfilling and has been the highlight of my professional career. The Board of Selectmen, Town staff and Town residents have all been a pleasure to work with. I am grateful for the opportunity we had to work together and accomplish a lot of good for the Town.”

Willardson concluded, “I wish the very best for Webster’s continued success and will do all I can to ensure that it will carry on after I leave.”

The Webster Board of Selectmen and Town Moderator are seeking to fill appointments to the Town Administrator search committee.  If you have an interest in screening candidates for Webster’s next Town Administrator, email your contact information, why you’re interested and what you could bring to the committee to  selectmen@webster-ma.gov by noon on August 6.
