Garbage Truck Catches Fire In Auburn

West Street in Auburn was closed for a few hours on Wednesday afternoon while the fire crews battled fire in a garbage truck.

Auburn’s Police and Fire Departments responded to the fully engulfed truck near the Hardscrabble Road location of Casella Waste Systems. There were no injuries reported and no word on a cause for the fire.
