Southbridge Man Arrested For Sturbridge Bank Robbery

On Friday, December 14, the TD Bank located on Route 131 in Sturbridge was robbed.  Police say the male suspect entered the bank and demanded money from a teller.  An undisclosed amount of cash was taken as the suspect fled on foot.  After an hours-long search, Sturbridge Police, with help from Massachusetts State Police, Southbridge Police and a canine unit were unable to locate the man.

An active investigation ensued and continued throughout the weekend. As a result of that investigation a suspect was identified. The Sturbridge Police applied for an arrest warrant and a search warrant. Both warrants were obtained and executed by members of the Sturbridge Police and the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council S.W.A.T.. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Arrested in connection to the crime was 52 year old Kenneth Mileti  of 20 Marjorie Lane, Southbridge.  He was charged with the armed assault & battery, robbery, being a disorderly person, disturbing the peace and threatening to commit a crime.
