The 2018 Webster Lake Association Einstein Raffle Winners Are…
It was a fun night had by all who attended The Webster Lake Association’s Ice-Out raffle that took place on Wednesday night at Point Breeze.
Mother nature didn’t quite cooperate for the original contest that was planned in which people purchased tickets to guess the month, date and time that Einstein would fall through the ice of Webster Lake. The weather was just a little too warm this winter, and Einstein made the plunge 4 hours before the contest was officially set to begin. For the second time in the last 11 years, that meant a raffle in which all participants who made a guess were entered in to a raffle to give away the $4,000 in prize money.
Webster Lake Association President Jason Piader announced that over 1700 tickets were sold for the 2018 contest, about 300 more than any other year. Proceeds from the sales of tickets go directly to the Webster Lake Association, Webster Fire and Rescue and Reconciliation House of Webster.
Here is the list of winners:
1st Place/$2,000: Reconciliation House of Webster
2nd Place/$1,000: Robert Keith of Sutton
3rd Place/$500: Ashley Jolda of Webster
4th Place/$250: Rev. Janice Ford of Webster
5th Place/$250: Jomar Diaz of Webster
Congratulations to all of the winners!
