Driver Flees After Car Rolls Over, Catches On Fire In Dudley

The Webster and Dudley Fire Departments responded to a possible car fire just after 11PM on Saturday, August 26th.  Few details have been made public, but Dudley Police are investigating.  The car reportedly sheared off a fire hydrant and landed in the yard near a building at 32 Chase Avenue in Dudley.

There was no one found in the car when first responders arrived.  It is believed the driver fled the scene.  Bystanders used extinguishers on the smoking car prior to their arrival.  No word on if the driver has been found as of Sunday morning.

No injuries or charges have been reported at this time.
