Winter Storm Warning In Effect For Webster Area

Here we go again!  More snow for the Webster area.  At least this time it will be coming in quickly overnight on a weekend, and Sunday will warm up rapidly so hopefully you won’t have to shovel or plow too much.

The National Weather Service is calling for anywhere from 6 to 8 inches for Webster and points south in most of Connecticut and Rhode Island, 4 to 6 inches for Oxford, Auburn and points North and West of Webster.  The snow should begin on Saturday night around 7PM and last through about 7AM on Sunday morning.  The heaviest of the snow is expected between 10PM and 4AM.

THE LAKE 940 is teamed up with AccuWeather to bring you the latest forecast online anytime at Lake940.com and on the radio on AM 940 twice every hour.  A winter parking ban is also in effect for Webster until futher notice.  No parking is allowed on any town street.

A snow emergency begins at 9PM on Saturday and lasts through 12PM on Sunday for Southbridge.  Off-street parking is available at the following municipal parking lots: Edwards Block Parking Lot, Central Street Parking Lot, Wells Jr. High School at 80 Marcy Street and the RMV Lot on LaRochelle Way.  For further questions call Southbridge Police Headquarters at (508) 764-5420
