Beginning today, October 5, face-covering masks will now be required in all municipal buildings in Webster, regardless of vaccination status.

The announcement was posted on the town’s website as the latest COVID-19 emergency public health order, “based upon a review of current COVID-19 caseload and testing positivity rates in Webster.”  This new order will be in effect until further notice and requires all visitors and employees over the age of two, to cover their nose and mouth while inside.

When an employee is at their own desk and is able to properly social distance, the face-covering may be removed.   Masks also may be removed while eating or drinking.

This new policy is in addition to the rule that was already in effect in all Webster public school buildings.

The Webster Board Of Health “strongly recommends that all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, wear a face covering that covers the nose and mouth in all indoor public buildings, including private businesses open to the public.”

More information on this mask policy can be found here.
